I Am Unemployed

I left my role as CTO of Dylibso at the end of August. I’m not really doing anything with the exception of a few short term contracts for fun. I’m talking to lots of founders and engineering leaders about what’s next but I’m not in a hurry to take a job. I went to a meetup and someone asked me what I do and I said “I am unemployed”. I’ve never really done nothing before. I’ve been between jobs, but never without a role to attach myself to.

I’m fortunate to now be in a place where I don’t really need a full-time job. We had a daughter last August. I’ve been spending the time with her as she’s learning to walk and talk. It’s really a great time to not have a job.
